The Compton Initiative

Change is coming. . . and with it will come hope and healing.  Though many would write off the city of Compton, God does not, because He is in the business of restoring, healing and renewing lives and communities.  The Compton Initiative is a long term plan and commitment, whereby through the power of prayer and thousands of small acts of “doing good,” men, women and children from various backgrounds and professions will co-labor with God in the healing and transformation of the people and the city of Compton.

With only an open heart and a paint brush, God will use you to help renew
Compton as we…

Clean up and beautify the City
With the help of countless volunteers, businesses, churches and residents of the community we will increasingly “do good” in
Compton.  Through thousands of small acts of service and kindness, we will help clean up the city by painting homes, removing garbage, planting trees, fixing fences, etc. and will transform the city of Compton house by house, block by block. . . heart by heart.

Partner with Local Businesses & Civic Leaders
We will partner with local businesses and civic leaders who are willing to participate and/or sponsor our various “Clean up & Beautify Days,” “Career Days” and Youth Outreach and Athletic Programs, through financial support and/or by providing needed resources, as well as encouraging employee participation.

Partner with Schools & Establish Educational Programs

Through working with local schools and businesses, and partnering with them to organize Career Days, Reading Programs and more, we hope to provide students with positive adult role models and encourage them to build their academic skills and pursue professional careers.
